On the tee: Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open

Reigning champion Brandon Stone will begin the defence of his Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open title alongside World Number Nine Justin Thomas and three time European Tour winner Tyrrell Hatton on the back nine at 08.30 on Thursday.

The Renaissance Club

The Rolex Series continues on the East Lothian coast as The Renaissance Club hosts the 37th edition of the tournament in North Berwick.

Stone shot a remarkable round of 60 to break the course record at Gullane Golf Club on the final day last year to ease to a four stroke victory over England's Eddie Pepperell.

The Renaissance Club will be making its European Tour debut as it hosts the third of eight Rolex Series events in the 2019 season - which has brought a stellar worldwide field to North Berwick in preparation for The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

Oban native and Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open debutant Robert MacIntyre will play with four time Major Champion Rory McIlroy and 2015 winner Rickie Fowler in the afternoon at 13.40.

Last year's runner-up Pepperell gets under way ten minutes later alongside 2016 US PGA Championship winner Jimmy Walker and Scotland's David Law.

Former World Number One Lee Westwood is an early starter on the back nine with 2016 Open Championship winner Henrik Stenson and American Kevin Kisner, who is fourth in the Race to Dubai Rankings Presented by Rolex, beginning at 08.40.

Matt Wallace, who sits second in the Race to Dubai Rankings Presented by Rolex, will play alongside 2017 winner Rafa Cabrera Bello and Ryder Cup star Ian Poulter at 13.20, while 2010 U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell starts ten minutes earlier with American Matt Kuchar and Dane Lucas Bjerregaard.

Two time winner of this event Ernie Els will be joined by victorious 2018 Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjørn and Scotland's Richie Ramsay for the first two rounds, starting at 14.00 at the first tee.
