• Becomes the second consecutive first-time winner, following Brandt Snedeker (Fiji International).
• Following on from Brandt Snedeker winning the Fiji International, becomes the third time this season that the European Tour has witnessed two first-time winners on the same day. The first two sets of winners were: Marc Leishman (Nedbank Golf Challenge) and Nathan Holman (Australian PGA Championship), then Chan Shih-chang (King’s Cup presented by PTT Group) and Jimmy Walker (US PGA Championship).
• Victory comes in his third appearance in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
• This victory beats his previous best finish in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship of tied 103rd in 2014.

• His 72 hole winning total in relation to par of 23 under is the lowest of the 2016 European Tour season. This beats the 22 under par by Li Haotong (Volvo China Open) and Francesco Molinari (Italian Open).
• His final 36 hole total of 128 (-16) matches the lowest final 36 hole total of the 2016 European Tour season, set by Robert Karlsson (Porsche European Open). His 16 under par for his last 36 holes in the lowest of the 2016 season. This beats the 14 under of Karlsson in the Porsche European Open and Li Haotong in the Volvo China Open.
• Led by three shots going into the final round. Becomes the 23rd winner this season to lead with 18 holes to play.
• Becomes the 15th different winner of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
