He has won the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational eight times (1999, 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2013); the WGC – Cadillac Championship seven times (1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2013) and WGC – Accenture Match Play Championship three times (2003, 2004 and 2008).
• His eighth victory in the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational comes in his 14th appearance in the event, dating back to the first year it was played in 1999.
• Apart from his eight victories, was tied second in 2004, fourth in 2002, tied fourth in 2003 and tied eighth in 2003. Has been inside the top eight of the tournament in 12 of his 14 appearances.
• Creates European Tour history by becoming the first player to win the same official European Tour event eight times.
• Wins his second WGC title of the season, following the WGC – Cadillac Championship. This represents the sixth time he has won multiple WGC events in the same season. The years are: 1999, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2013.

• Is the third time he has won a European Tour event when he has led by seven or more shots going into the final round. They are: 2000 US Open Championship (ten shots), 2000 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational (nine shots) and 2013 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational (seven shots).

• Becomes the fourth player in the 2013 European Tour season to record multiple victories, following Brett Rumford (Ballantine’s Championship and Volvo China Open), Graeme McDowell (Volvo World Match Play Championship and Alstom Open de France) and Phil Mickelson (Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and The 142nd Open Championship).
• Is the 11th time during his European Tour career he has recorded multiple victories in the same European Tour season and first time since 2009.
• His seven shot victory is the second equal biggest winning margin on The European Tour in 2013. Charl Schwartzel won the Alfred Dunhill Championship by 12. The seven shot wins are by Richard Sterne (Joburg Open) and Tiger Woods (WGC – Bridgestone Invitational).
• Is his fifth victory on The European Tour he has won by seven shots or more. They are: 2000 US Open Championship (15), 2000 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational (11), 2006 WGC – Cadillac Championship and 2000 Open Championship (both eight) and 2013 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational (seven).
