• This victory beats his previous best 2016 European Tour performance of tied eighth in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

• This victory beats his previous best European Tour performance since his Hong Kong victory in 2014 of tied second in this event in 2015.

• Victory comes in his second appearance in the True Thailand Classic Presented by Chang.

• This victory beats his previous best performance in the True Thailand Classic Presented by Chang of tied second in 2015.

• At aged 42 years and 211 days is the oldest player to win his first two European Tour events, since James Kingston, who was 43 years and 287 days, when the South African won his second title at the Mercedes-Benz South African Open Championship in the 2008 season.

• Has won his first two European Tour titles on Asian soil. He becomes the first player to achieve this feat since Kiradech Aphibarnrat (2013 Maybank Malaysian Open and 2015 Shenzhen International, held in China).

• Is the second consecutive season that he has led this tournament after 54 holes. Was ahead by one shot in 2015 and took a two shot advantage going into the final day in 2016.

• The ninth 54 hole leader to go on and win on the 2016 European Tour to date from the 13 events played.

Becomes the second consecutive Australian to win the True Thailand Classic presented by Chang, following Andrew Dodt in 2015.

• The first time since 1991 that Australia have recorded five European Tour victories in the same season. The five in 1991 were: Craig Parry (Italian Open and Scottish Open), Ian Baker-Finch (Open Championship), Mike Harwood (European Open) and Rodger Davis (Volvo Masters).

• The first time in European Tour history that five different Australians have won in the same European Tour season.

• The second consecutive Australian victory of the 2016 European Tour, following Adam Scott at the WGC – Cadillac Championship, seven days ago. (Australia have now won three of the last four European Tour events, with Marcus Fraser (Maybank Championship Malaysia), Adam Scott and Scott Hend.

• The second time during the 2016 European Tour season that two different Australians have won consecutive events, following Nathan Holman (Australian PGA Championship) and Marc Leishman (Nedbank Golf Challenge).

• Has now won €415,193 from the two years the True Thailand Classic Presented by Chang has been played. He won €151,057 in 2015 and €264,136 in 2016.

• Is now a total of 33 under par for his last eight rounds in this event. Was 15 under in 2015 and 18 under in 2016.

• Gains his largest European Tour prize of €264,136.

Gains a two year European Tour exemption until the end of 2018.

• Gains his 12th victory as a professional.

• Gains his eighth victory on Asian soil.

• Extended his record of consecutive winning years worldwide to five, inclusive of 2016, dating back to 2012.
