• In that time has played in 105 European Tour events between victories.

• This victory beats his previous best performance since his 2011 triumph of third in the 2015 the South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni.

• This victory beats his previous best 2015 performance of third in the South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni.

• Victory comes in his seventh appearance in the M2M Russian Open.

• This victory beats his previous best performance in the M2M Russian Open of tied tenth in 2006.

• Follows Carl Watts (1996), Warren Bennett (1998), Iain Pyman (1999 and 2002), Gary Emerson (2004) and David Horsey (2014), as English winners of the M2M Russian Open.

• Not a fully exempt member in 2015. Finished in 111th place in the 2014 Race to Dubai, to finish one place outside the automatic exemption places for the 2015 season.

• Becomes the third European Tour Member who was not fully exempt and win on the 2015 European Tour season. They are: Trevor Fisher Jnr (Africa Open), Roope Kakko (Madeira Islands Open – Portugal – BPI) and Lee Slattery (M2M Russian Open).

• Maintains his 100% record of winning both his European Tour events when leading going into the final round. Led by two strokes after 54 holes in the 2011 Bankia Madrid Masters and two shots here at the M2M Russian Open with 18 holes to play.

• Led going into the final round by two shots. The 20th winner this season to have led or shared the lead going into the final round.

• Becomes the 298th English victory in European Tour history.

• Becomes the eighth English victory on the 2015 season. They are Danny Willett (Nedbank Golf Challenge and Omega European Masters), Andy Sullivan (South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni and Joburg Open), James Morrison (Open de España), Chris Wood (Lyoness Open Powered by Greenfinty), David Horsey (Made in Denmark) and Lee Slattery (M2M Russian Open).

• Equals his largest European Tour prize of €166,660, he won at the 2011 Bankia Madrid Masters.

• Gains a European Tour exemption until the end of 2016.

• Becomes the 13th European Tour victory on the 2015 European Tour by a former Challenge Tour player.
