• His first European Tour International Schedule victory in his 30th European Tour event.

• His victory beats his previous best European Tour performance of ninth in the 2010 Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal.

•  The 12th first-time winner of the 2010 season. They are:  Richie Ramasay (South African Open Championship), Andrew Dodt (Avantha Masters), Noh Seung-yul (Maybank Malaysian Open), Rhys Davies (Tropheé Hassan II), Louis Oosthuizen (Open de Andalucia de Golf), James Morrison (Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal), Fredrik Andersson Hed (BMW Italian Open), Martin Wiegele (SAINT OMER OPEN presented by Neuflize OBC), David Horsey (BMW International Open), Edoardo Molianri (The Barclays Scottish Open, Hunter Mahan (WGC – Bridgestone Invitational) and John Parry (Vivendi Cup 2010).

• In his rookie season on The European Tour. The third rookie to win on the 2010 European Tour season. He follows Rhys Davies (Tropheé Hassan II) and James Morrison (Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal).

• Graduated from the 2009 Challenge Tour Rankings. Becomes the fourth 2009 Challenge Tour graduate to win on the 2010 European Tour. He follows: Rhys Davies (Tropheé Hassan II) and James Morrison (Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal) and Edoardo Molinari (The Barclays Scottish Open and Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles). Four graduates equals the figure of 2009 for most players to win on The European Tour the year after graduation.

• Victory came after leading going into the final round of a European Tour event for the first time.
