• His first European Tour International Schedule victory in his 30th European Tour event.

• Could move to into the top 15 of the Official World Golf Ranking, from 48th.

• Becomes the tenth first-time winner of the season. They are: They are Nathan Holman (Australian PGA Championship), Marc Leishman (Nedbank Golf Challenge), Brandon Stone (BMW SA Open hosted by City of Ekurhuleni), Haydn Porteous (Joburg Open), Andrew Johnston (Real Club Valderrama Open de España hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation), Soomin Lee (Shenzhen International), Li Hao-tong (Volvo China Open), Jeunghun Wang (Trophée Hassan II), Chan Shih-chang (King’s Cup presented by PTT Group) and Jimmy Walker (US PGA Championship).

• Becomes the second consecutive first-time winner following Chan Shih-chang (King’s Cup presented by PTT Group).

• This victory beats previous best European Tour finish of sixth in the 2016 WGC – Cadillac Championship.

• Wins his first Major Championship in his 18th Major Championship appearance.

• This victory beats his previous best Major performance of tied seventh at the 2014 US PGA Championship.

• Victory comes in his sixth appearance in the US PGA Championship.

• This victory means that all the four Major winners in 2016 are first-time Major winners. They are: Danny Willett (Masters Tournament), Dustin Johnson (U.S. Open), Henrik Stenson (The 145th Open Championship) and Jimmy Walker (US PGA Championship).

• Only the fifth time since there have been four Majors in a season, that all four winners in the same season were first time Major winners. • The second American to win a Major in 2016 following Dustin Johnson at the U.S. Open.

• Led going into the final round of a Major Championship for the first time, when leading by one shot after 54 holes. (His 54 hole total of 199 is the equal third lowest in Major Championship history).

• His winning total of 266 (-14) is the second lowest 72 hole winning total in US PGA Championship history, behind David Toms, who won in 2001, with a total of 265.

• The 19th winner this season to lead going into the final round and sixth in a row dating back to Henrik Stenson at the BMW International Open.

• The eighth wire-to-wire winner of the US PGA Championship since the event became stroke play in 1958. Is the first since Phil Mickelson in 2005, also at Baltusrol.

• The previous seven are: Bobby Nicholls (1964), Ray Floyd (1969 and 1982), Jack Nicklaus (1971), Hal Sutton (1983), Tiger Woods (2000) and Phil Mickelson (2005).

• Becomes the first American to win the US PGA Championship since Jason Dufner (2013).

• Since the US PGA Championship was last played here in 2005 and won by Phil Mickelson, America have won the event in 2006-2007 (Tiger Woods), Keegan Bradley (2011), Jason Dufner (2013) and now Jimmy Walker (2016).

• Since 2009 the US PGA Championship, the event has produced six first-time Major winners. They are: 2009 – Y.E. Yang, 2010 – Martin Kaymer, 2011 – Keegan Bradley, 2013 – Jason Dufner, 2015 – Jason Day and 2016 – Jimmy Walker.

• The second wire-to-wire winner of the 2016 European Tour season, following Soomin Lee (Shenzhen International).

• The first wire-to-wire winner of a Major Championship since Jordan Spieth (2015 Masters Tournament).

His 65 was the lowest start by a winner this season on the European Tour.

Became the eighth winner of the US PGA Championship to win with four rounds in the 60s.

• Becomes the 206th American victory in European Tour history.

• Becomes the third American victory of the 2016 European Tour season. They are: Rickie Fowler (Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship), Dustin Johnson (U.S. Open) and Jimmy Walker (US PGA Championship).

• Gains a lifetime exemption into the US PGA Championship and a five year exemption into the Masters Tournament, U.S. Open and Open Championship.

• Gains his ninth victory as a professional.
