• His third European Tour International Schedule victory in his 139th European Tour event.

• Moves to 677,819 points in The Race to Dubai.

• His second European Tour victory of the season, following the Tshwane Open.

• Becomes the fifth multiple winner of the 2015 European Tour season. They are: Branden Grace (Alfred Dunhill Championship and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters), Anirban Lahiri (Maybank Malaysian Open and Hero Indian Open), Andy Sullivan (South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni and Joburg Open), Rory McIlroy (Omega Dubai Desert Classic and WGC – Cadillac Match Play) and George Coetzee (Tshwane Open and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open).

• The first time in his European Tour career he has record multiple European Tour victories in the same season.

• Went 105 European Tour events without a victory, before winning his maiden European Tour title at the 106th attempt in the 2014 Joburg Open. Win number two at the 2015 Tshwane Open came in his 136th tournament and this latest triumph in event number 139 – meaning he has won three times in his last 34 European Tour events.

• Continues his rich vein of recent form. This latest performance would be his third consecutive stroke-play top-three finish. The results are: first, Tshwane Open, tied third, Trophée Hassan II and first, AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. (Was tied 17th in his last event, the WGC – Cadillac Match Play).

• The second of his three European Tour victories where he has led or shared the lead going into the final day. Shared the lead after 54 holes of the 2015 Tshawne Open and led on his own going into the final day of the 2015 (AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. (Made up five shots to win the 2014 Joburg Open).

• The tenth time this season the 54-hole leader has gone on to win and sixth stroke-play winner in a row, dating back to Coetzee himself at the Tshwane Open.

OTHER FACTS

• The 131st South African victory in European Tour history.

• The fifth South African victory of the 2015 season. They are: Branden Grace (Alfred Dunhill Championship and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters), Trevor Fisher Jnr (Africa Open) and George Coetzee (Tshwane Open and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open). (South Africa now have more wins than any other country so far this season).

• The first South African to record their first three European Tour titles in sanctioned events with the Sunshine Tour. (The Asian Tour are also sanctioning the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open).

• Maintains South Africa’s winning habit in Mauritius. David Frost won the MCB Tour Championship on the European Senior Tour in the 2011 and 2012 season.

• Gains his eighth professional victory and all have been on the African continent –the previous seven all coming in South Africa.
