Gary Stal - acknowledges the crowd after a final round 65 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship

• His first European Tour International Schedule victory in his 41st European Tour event.

• Moves to 408,465 points in The Race to Dubai.

• Moved to 102nd of the Official World Golf Ranking, from 357th.

• This victory beats his previous best European Tour performance of tied fifth in the 2015 South African Open Championship Hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni, seven days ago.

• Becomes the second first-time winner of the 2015 season. They are: Andy Sullivan (South African Open Championship Hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni) and Gary Stal (Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship).

• Becomes the first Frenchman to win the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.

• Aged 22 years and 343 days becomes the youngest winner of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, beating the previous record of Martin Kaymer, aged 23 years and 24 days in 2008.

• Becomes the second youngest French winner in European Tour history, aged 22 years and 343 days. The youngest is José-Filipe Lima at the 2004 Saint Omer Open, aged 22 years and 206 days. (Lima was a French citizen when he won).

• Joins Chris DiMarco (2006) and Martin Kaymer (2008) as players to make the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, their first European Tour victory.

• Victory comes in his second appearance in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Missed the cut on his debut in 2014.

• His eight shot final round winning comeback is the biggest in the history of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, beating the three of Paul Casey in 2007.

• His eight shot final day winning comeback is the biggest final day comeback since Graeme McDowell’s eight at the 2014 Alstom Open de France.
