• His second European Tour International Schedule victory in his 49th European Tour event.

• Moves to 7th in the Official World Golf Ranking from 16th.

• His first European Tour victory since the 2013 WGC–HSBC Champions.

• His second career WGC victory in his 20th WGC appearance.

• His victory in the WGC–Cadillac Championship comes in his seventh WGC-Cadillac Championship appearance.

• This victory beats his previous best performance in the WGC–Cadillac Championship of second in the 2011. (Was also tied fourth in 2014).

• Becomes the second player to win two WGC events for their first two European Tour events. He follows Hunter Mahan, who won the 2010 WGC–Bridgestone Invitational and then the 2012 WGC–Accenture Match Play Championship. Johnson won the 2013 WGC–HSBC Champions for his first European Tour win.

• Victory comes in his first European Tour International Schedule event since the 2014 Open Championship, where he tied for 12th.

• Becomes the eighth player to record multiple WGC victories. He follows: Tiger Woods, Geoff Ogilvy, Darren Clarke, Ernie Els, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson and Ian Poulter.

• Began the final round five shots behind J B Holmes. This is the largest final round winning comeback in the history of the WGC–Cadillac Championship, beating the three of Justin Rose in 2012.

• His five shot final round winning comeback equals the largest in the history of the World Golf Championship series, matching the five of Martin Kaymer in the 2011 WGC–HSBC Champions.

• From the 12 European Tour events so far this season, this will be the eighth time a player has made up a final round deficit to win.

• The 11th American victory in the WGC–Cadillac Championship.

• Becomes the 34th American victory in WGC history.

• Becomes the 199th American victory in European Tour history.

• First American victory of the 2015 European Tour International Schedule.

• First American to win on The European Tour since Brooks Koepka at the 2014 Turkish Airlines Open by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

• First non European Tour Member to win on The European Tour since Bubba Watson at the 2014 WGC – HSBC Champions.

• His tenth victory as a professional.
