• His third European Tour International Schedule victory in his 180th European Tour event.

• Moves to 2,548,439 points in The Race to Dubai.

• Could move into the top 25 of the Official World Golf Ranking, from 32nd.

• His second victory of the 2015 European Tour season, following on from winning the opening event, the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

• Becomes the first time during his European Tour career he has recorded multiple European Tour victories in the same season.

• Becomes the seventh multiple winner of the 2015 European Tour season. They are: Branden Grace (Alfred Dunhill Championship and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters), Anirban Lahiri (Maybank Malaysian Open and Hero Indian Open), Andy Sullivan (South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni and Joburg Open), Rory McIlroy (Omega Dubai Desert Classic and WGC – Cadillac Match Play), George Coetzee (Tshwane Open and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open), Jordan Spieth (Masters Tournament and U.S. Open Championship) and Danny Willett (Nedbank Golf Challenge and Omega European Masters).

• Follows Sir Nick Faldo (1983), Chris Moody (1988), Jamie Spence (1992), Barry Lane (1993), Lee Westwood (1999) and Luke Donald (2004), as English winners of the Omega European Masters.

• Continues with his stunning 2015 European Tour season. This is his fourth top five finish and has now been placed in the top ten six times overall from his 14 events this season on The European Tour.

• This victory comes in his seventh appearance in the Omega European Masters.

• This victory beats his previous best finish in the Omega European Masters of tied second in 2012. (Was also tied fifth in 2014).

• Has now made the cut in all of his seven appearances in the Omega European Masters. (Of those seven, six times he has been placed within the top 30).

*His winning total of 263 is the lowest winning total this season on The European Tour.

• Becomes the 296th English victory in European Tour history.

• Becomes the sixth English victory on the 2015 season. They are Danny Willett (Nedbank Golf Challenge and Omega European Masters), Andy Sullivan (South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni and Joburg Open), James Morrison (Open de España) and Chris Wood (Lyoness Open Powered by Greenfinty).

• Moves over €7 million in European Tour Official Career Earnings.

• Gains his third victory as a professional.
