Alex Noren on the way to a one under 71 to seal the win at the Nordea Masters

• His fourth European Tour International Schedule victory in his 199th European Tour event.

• Moves to 835,252 points in The Race to Dubai.

• Could move into the top 70 of the Official World Golf Ranking from 122nd.

• His first win since the 2011 Nordea Masters - a gap of three years and 318 days.

• In that time he has played in 67 events between European Tour victories.

• This victory beats his previous best finish since his 2011 Nordea Masters victory of second in the 2015 Omega Dubai Desert Classic. (From those 67 events he has been in the top ten 17 times overall).

• Began the 2015 European Tour season on a medical exemption. This performance is his fourth top ten finish from 12 events this season. He has also been in the money in all 12 tournaments so far this campaign.

• Becomes the fifth player to record multiple victories in the Nordea Masters. They are: Colin Montgomerie (1991, 1999 and 2001), Lee Westwood (1996, 2000 and 2012), Jesper Parnevik (1995 and 1998), Mikko Ilonen (2007 and 2013) and Alex Noren (2011 and 2015).

• Becomes the seventh Swedish victory in the history of the Nordea Masters. They are: Jesper Parnevik (1995 and 1998), Joakim Haeggman (1997), Peter Hanson (2008), Richard S Johnson (2010) and Alex Noren (2011 and 2015).

• With this seventh victory, the Nordea Masters has now witnessed more Swedish victories in this event than any other European Tour tournament.

• His second victory comes in his 11th appearance in the Nordea Masters.

• This second victory is his fourth consecutive top ten finish in the Nordea Masters. He was first in 2011, tied tenth in 2012, tied fourth in 2013 and first in 2015. (Did not play last season due to injury). (His best finish in his first seven appearances was tied 18th in 2005 as an amateur).

• The 98th Swedish win in European Tour history.

• The first Swedish winner on The European Tour in 2015.

• The first Swede to win on The European Tour since Henrik Stenson at the 2014 DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.

• Extends Sweden’s run of consecutive winning years on The European Tour to 27, dating back to the 1989 season.

• Gains a European Tour exemption until the end of 2017.

• Led by two shots going into the final round. Is the 14th time this season the 54 hole leader has gone onto win and tenth stroke play winner in a row, dating back to George Coetzee at the Tshwane Open.

• As Søren Kjeldsen did seven days ago, extends his 100% record of having won all four of his European Tour titles when leading going into the final round. (When he won the 2011 Nordea Masters he led by 11 after 54 holes).

• His fifth win as a professional worldwide.

• Becomes the eighth European Tour victory on the 2015 European Tour by a former Challenge Tour player. They are: Branden Grace (Alfred Dunhill Championship and Commercial Bank Qatar Masters), Gary Stal (Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship), Richie Ramsay (Trophée Hassan II), James Morrison (Open de España), Byeong-Hun An (BMW PGA Championship), Søren Kjeldsen (Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by the Rory Foundation) and Alex Noren (Nordea Masters).

• Becomes the 362nd European Tour victory by a former Challenge Tour player.
