• The win follows a runner-up finish in his last European Tour appearance at the Volvo China Open.
•Both of his victories have come in different formats to the regular 72-hole stroke play – his previous one coming at last year's Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play.
• Moves him to 715,506 points in the 2018 Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex, up to 14th from 20th.
•Moves him into the top 80 in the Official World Golf Ranking, potentially to as high as 75th, up from 99th.
•Becomes the first Spanish winner of the Belgian Knockout (formerly Belgian Open) since Miguel Ángel Jiménez won in 1992. His mentor José María Olazábal also won the event in 1988.
•The 183rd victory from a Spaniard on the European Tour.
•Becomes the second Spanish winner on the 2018 Race to Dubai, five weeks after Jon Rahm claimed the Open de España title.
•The 436th victory from a former Challenge Tour player on the European Tour.
