Danny Willett maintained his three-shot lead as the final round of the Maybank Championship got under way at Saujana Golf and Country Club.

The Englishman is looking for his first win since his sensational victory at the Masters Tournament and made a solid start in Kuala Lumpur to get to 17 under after three holes.

Alexander Levy, David Lipsky and Bernd Wiesberger were his nearest challengers, a shot clear of Anirban Lahiri.

Lahiri made a quick move with birdies on the the first and third and Wiesberger repeated the trick, with playing partner Mike Lorenzo-Vera making a gain on the par five.

Levy was the first man in the final group to get closer to the summit courtesy of a birdie on the first but Willett's lead stayed at three in the very early stages.

Wiesberger was the first man to cut into that as he made it three birdies in four holes with a gain on the fourth to get to 14 under.

Willett then took advantage of the third for the second time this week to re-establish his three-shot cushion, with Lipsky and Levy also making birdies.

Lorenzo-Vera was at 12 under after four holes, a shot clear of K.T. Kim, Panuphol Pattayarat and Fabrizio Zanotti.

Grégory Havret and Thongchai Jaidee were then at ten under.
