This year will mark the 70th edition of the OMEGA European Masters at Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre in Crans Montana, Switzerland, making it the longest running golf tournament at the same venue in Europe and second in the world after the Masters Tournament at Augusta National.
Exactly five weeks before the start of the tournament, this significant landmark was celebrated across dedicated digital channels, including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, in a campaign that glorifies golfing memories since 1939 –the #GreatGolfTimes.
The #GreatGolfTimes campaign commemorates the rich history around the tournament and the game of golf by curating a timeline that will exhibit the milestones, the records and the moments that have shaped them both.
It won’t just be about showcasing the moments of glory, the iconic challenges or the revered heroes; it will also look at the sportsmanship, the skill, the fashion and the beauty associated with the game.
As part of the campaign, the pro golfers playing the tournament this year, including Lee Westwood, Matt Fitzpatrick and last year’s winner Danny Willett, will share intimate memories from their past and fans will be encouraged to share their golfing moments too in order to build up the timeline hosted on the tournament’s website www.omegaeuropeanmasters.com.
