England is the event’s most successful nation, producing five of the nine winners at Golf Blue Green de Pléneuf Val André. The other four titles have been collected by four separate countries: Sweden, Italy, France and Australia.

The average winning score at the event is eight under par, with the best score being produced by Benjamin Hebert in 2014, when the Frenchman won on 15 under par. The highest winning total came from Eddie Pepperell in 2012, when he finished on three under par.

Down the years, the event has been held in four different months. It was played in either May or April between 2008 and 2012, in October for the inaugural edition in 2007 and in September from 2011 to the present day.

The majority of the winners had previous Challenge Tour titles to their name before triumphing in France, with 2009 champion Lee James leading the way on five previous career victories. Three players collected their fifth title in Brittany, namely Peter Baker, Joakim Haeggman and Benjamin Hebert. Andrea Pavan was collecting his fourth title, whilst Phillip Archer and Sam Walker were winning for the second time. For Eddie Pepperell and defending champion Scott Arnold, the Cordon Golf Open was their first Challenge Tour title.

The tournament has produced a wide age range of winners, from 21 to 39. Archer (2011) and Baker (2008) flew the flag for the more experienced players, as they were both 39 years of age when they collected the title. At the other end of the spectrum, Pepperell won as a baby faced 21 year old in 2012.
