Wentworth Club hosts final BMW Indoor Invitational powered by TrackMan event

The BMW Indoor Invitational powered by TrackMan moves to Wentworth Club on Saturday as a field of 34 European Tour players compete in the fifth and final event in the series of virtual golf tournaments.

BMW Indoor Invitational powered by TrackMan - Week 3 Highlights
  • ·34 player field includes seven-time European Tour winner Bernd Wiesberger and Belgian Ryder Cup stars Nicolas Colsaerts and Thomas Pieters
  •  European Tour players use TrackMan technology to compete over Wentworth’s West Course from home
  • ·Winner will receive $10,000 to benefit a Coronavirus charity of his choice

This week’s field includes seven-time European Tour winner Bernd Wiesberger, who triumphed three times in the 2019 season - including twice on the Rolex Series – to finish a career-best third place on the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex.

He is joined by Belgian Ryder Cup stars Nicolas Colsaerts – who secured his third European Tour title at the 2019 Open de France - and four-time winner Thomas Pieters.

Scotland’s Connor Syme will be aiming for a hattrick of BMW Indoor Invitational powered by TrackMan wins, after following up his victory at Royal Portrush in week two with a place in a five-way tie for first place over Real Club Valderrama last Saturday.

Four men have a chance of joining Syme as multiple winners on the series - England’s Matthew Jordan and Damien Perrier of France, who were also in the tie at the top in Spain last week, Joost Luiten, the first winner around the Old Course at St Andrews, and his fellow Dutchman Wil Besseling, who took the glory at Golf Club Munchen Eichenried in week three.

Meanwhile, Wentworth Club member Steven Brown will be hoping to make experience count as he takes on his home course virtually.

The final week of BMW Indoor Invitational powered by TrackMan action takes place over the West Course at the world-famous Wentworth Club, home of the prestigious BMW PGA Championship. The venue also hosted global events such as the World Match Play Championship - which was played at the Surrey venue from 1964-2007 – and The Ryder Cup in 1953.

The winner will receive $10,000 to benefit a Coronavirus charity or relief fund of his choice.

Tournament footage will once again be shown on the European Tour’s social media channels and https://bmw.trackmaninvitational.com, with fans able to follow using #BMWTrackManInvitational.

Footage of the BMW Indoor Invitational powered by TrackMan will be shown from 11am BST on the European Tour’s social media channels (Twitter: @europeantour; Instagram: @europeantour; YouTube: EuropeanTour) and via https://bmw.trackmaninvitational.com.
