Warren set for Denmark defence

Scotland’s Mark Warren has confirmed he will defend the Made in Denmark title next month as a strong field prepares to return to Himmerland Golf and Spa Resort.

The €1.5million tournament was played for the first time on The European Tour last season and proved a huge success, attracting more than 82,000 spectators who created a Major-like atmosphere which drew rave reviews from the players.

Warren captured the trophy with a gutsy three under par 68 in the final round to finish two shots clear of Welshman Bradley Dredge, and he was effusive in his praise of the event’s inaugural edition.

The presence of Nicolas Colsaerts and Victor Dubuisson, stars of the 2012 and 2014 Ryder Cups respectively, adds further strength to the line-up, which also features BMW PGA Champion Byeong Hun An and four-time European Tour winner Alex Noren, while Lucas Bjerregard, Lasse Jensen and Morten Ørum Madsen will bolster the home challenge.
