Home Favourite – Oliver Lindell
Sitting 61st in the Race to Mallorca standings, Lindell is the highest-ranking Finn currently playing on the Challenge Tour so is arguably the best hope for a home winner. The 23-year-old comes into the event in good form, after finishing 3rd at the Euram Bank Open in Austria last month.
A chance for Momentum - John Murphy
The Irishman finished in an excellent 3rd place at his home Challenge Tour event last week. Rounds of 66 and 67 on Thursday and Friday respectively put him in early contention before slipping back slightly with weekend scores of 74 and 70. Murphy has risen to 47th in the Race to Mallorca rankings, within striking distance of the top 20 and will be hoping to bring his early round form from last week to Finland.
Leader of the Pack - Alejandro Del Rey
The Spaniard currently occupies 7th place and is the top ranked player in the Race to Mallorca standings in this week’s field. Del Rey followed up his win at the Big Green Egg German Challenge with a tie for 5th last week in Ireland and is looking for another surge up the rankings this week.
