Pierre Pineau has been in impressive form on the Road to Mallorca and currently sits in 19th position on the Rankings following five top-ten finishes, including a tie for fourth at last week’s Farmfoods Scottish Challenge supported by the R&A. The Frenchman, who secured a maiden Challenge Tour title at the 2022 Open de Portugal at Royal Óbidos, will be hoping for a strong performance in Finland this week to climb further up the Rankings as he looks to earn promotion to the DP World Tour.

Oliver Lindell arrives on home soil in strong form and he is currently placed in 26th position on the Road to Mallorca Rankings. The Finn will be hoping to build on last year’s performance at Vierumäki Resort, where he carded round of 66-68-68-68 to finish in a tie for eighth, as he looks to break into the top 20 on the Rankings at a crucial time of the campaign.

The outsider: Velten Meyer

Velten Meyer will be looking to use happy memories as fuel for success this week as he returns to the venue where he secured a maiden Challenge Tour title in 2022. The German posted rounds of 70-62-65-65 to win by five shots at Vierumäki Resort, however he missed out on promotion to the DP World Tour that season after finishing 31st on the Road to Mallorca Rankings. The 29-year-old has struggled for consistency so far in 2024, however has shown signs of an upturn in form in recent weeks with two top-15 finishes in his last four starts including a tie for fifth at the Euram Bank Open.
