The European and Ladies European Tours came together with a mixed exhibition match on the eve of the Trophée Hassan II and the Lalla Meryem Cup at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, in Rabat.
With the two tournaments running concurrently for the first time this week, the exhibition match provided the perfect platform for the two Tours to showcase the groundbreaking initiative.
After seven holes of greensomes, the prize was eventually shared between the teams of Laura Davies and Javier Ballesteros, and Gwladys Nocera and Younes El Hassani.
But the prize for the most gymnastic performance went to Carly Booth, who completed a series of cartwheels and backflips down the fairway.
“Just imagine how she would’ve celebrated if we’d won,” quipped playing partner Thomas Levet, who wisely chose not to replicate Booth’s moves.
