Tshwane Open day two - What they said

Alexander Björk and Scott Jamieson will take the lead into the weekend at the Tshwane Open after an enthralling first two days at Pretoria Country Club.

Here, we take a look at what some of those trying to chase them down had to say after round two.

James Morrison (66, -9)

"It was two steady days. I was over par early doors and kind of hung in there. As the storm came in the wind picked up but it evened out over the round and I'm very happy. I'm very confident, I've had a good start to the year so far, pretty steady, and it is what it is. Two more rounds to go, add them up and see what happens."

Thomas Aiken (62, -8)

"It was there. You don't get too many opportunities in your career to shoot one [a 59]. You get close now and then but when you have a few holes where birdies are on the cards, I did my best to try and make a few and it just didn't happen. It just shows that when you force issues it just doesn't happen. But one has to give it a try. I was very pleased with the way I played today, even with the way that I finished. I really gave myself the best opportunities that I could to shoot the low score so all in all it was a very nice day. I had a lot of fun and I had some family in the crowd walking with me so that made it even better."

Peter Karmis (67, -8)

"I'm very pleased with my progress so far. I'm happy with where my game is and obviously it's nice to make the cut comfortably and be in the mix. I'm hitting it straight at the moment and I'm putting better than I have in the last month. If I hit it close, I generally made it, whereas the last few weeks, I have not. I think if you make an error here, you make bogey. There's no escape. But luckily I'm playing well enough to make some birdies which is why I'm in the mix."

Justin Walters (68, -8)

"It was quite tricky today. When we started the day the wind was quite strong and was going around a little bit. I'm a bit blind in my right eye and when it's a bit overcast I struggle on the greens a little bit and today was no different. I fought my way through it and started getting my caddie to give me the reads, he gave me five good reads to finish and that turned my day around. It was nice to finish that way."
