TPF bolsters fundraising at the Portugal Masters

The Tour Players Foundation, the charitable arm of the European Tour (TPF), has pledged its support to the two Official Charities at this week’s Portugal Masters by fund-matching donations made by spectators, thereby doubling the amount raised.

Funds will be raised for Refugio Aboim Ascensão and APPACDM (the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Handicapped People) through the sale of official programmes, priced at €3.

One hundred per cent of the sales from the programmes will go to the charities, each of whom will benefit from an equal share of all donated funds plus the TPF’s euro for euro fund-matching.

Spectators will also be given the opportunity to win a place in the 2013 Portugal Masters Pro-Am by filling out the prize draw entry form included in the official programme.

Refugio Aboim Ascensão is a charity organisation which aims to better the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected children under the age of six; whilst APPACDM promotes the inclusion of people with a disability or incapacity in society in order to improve their quality of life.

In addition, funds will also be donated to both charities via the ‘Charity Mastershot’ putting challenge situated in the tented village, with ten cents donated to both charities for every spectator registering to participate.
