The European Challenge Tour heads to the Netherlands this week for the B-NL Challenge Trophy. Here are our Three to Watch at The Dutch…
Robbie Van West
Robbie Van West will be feeling right at home this week with The Dutch being his local attachment in the Netherlands. Van West will know his way around the course better than anyone else in the field and has already proven he can win here, with victory in the Dutch Futures last year. The 29-year-old has had a mixed season, with his standout performance coming at the D+D REAL Czech Challenge where he finished in a tie for fourth place. The Dutchman hasn’t finished inside the top 20 since but will be hoping that the home advantage can be the catalyst for a strong performance this week with the goal of climbing up the Road to Mallorca Rankings in his sights.
Oliver Hundebøll
Oliver Hundebøll has been in solid form of late with a tie for 17th at the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge where he carded a round of 64 on the opening day, followed by a tie for tenth on home soil at the Made in Esbjerg Challenge. The Dane also had a tie for fifth at the Dormy Open earlier this season in Sweden and currently sits in 50th position on the Road to Mallorca Rankings but will be looking to continue his upward trend in form at The Dutch and break into the top 20 on the Rankings.
Ugo Coussaud
Ugo Coussaud has shown signs of promise this season with three top 20 finishes, including a tie for 11th at the Italian Challenge and a tie for fourth at the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge, where he played all four rounds under par to finish on a 16 under total. The Frenchman currently sits in 39th place on the Road to Mallorca Rankings but is looking to build on solid foundations to climb into top 20 and earn European Tour playing rights for next season, having battled it out on the Challenge Tour since 2018. The 28-year-old is still in search of an illustrious maiden Challenge Tour victory, but The Dutch could provide the perfect stage for him to flourish.
