• Becomes the first player to win back-to-back European Tour titles since Charl Schwartzel (2010 Africa Open and 2010 Joburg Open).

• Claims his third European Tour title of the 2011 season following the Commercialbank Qatar Masters presented by Dolphin Energy and Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.

• First time in his European Tour career he has won three European Tour titles in the same year.

• Has won €599,958 in his last two European Tour events from the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles and Omega European Masters.

• Becomes the 28th different player to win back-to-back European Tour events.

• Is the oldest player to win back-to-back European Tour events, aged 40 years and 198 days. He beat the previous record of Nick Price who was 40 years and 26 days in 1997 when he won the Dimension Data Pro-Am and then the Alfred Dunhill SA PGA Championship.

• This victory is the seventh by a player aged 40 and over in the 2011 season to date. They are: Ernie Els (South African Open Championship), Paul Lawrie Open de Andalucía de Golf by Turkish Airlines), Darren Clarke (Iberdrola Open and The 140th Open Championship), Thomas Levet (Alstom Open de France) and Thomas Björn (Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles and Omega European Masters).

• The 25th Danish victory on The European Tour.

• Becomes the first Dane to win the Omega European Masters.

• Third Danish win on the 2011 European Tour.
