BMW has extended it’s agreement to hold the BMW International Open by four years until 2022.
From2019 onward the tournament will take place at Golfclub München Eichenried, where renovation of all 18 greens on the Championship Course is under way ahead of the return of the iconic German event.
The BMW International Open celebrates its 30th edition on the European Tour this season, having been organised by BMW since 1989, and will once again attract a stellar field to Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof in Pulheim, near Cologne, on June 21-24.
Four-time Major winner Ernie Els - a BMW International Open winner in 2013 - and European Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn, who has triumphed twice at this event in 2000 and 2002, are the latest stars to join a field that includes 2017 Masters Tournament winner and world number ten Sergio Garcia and another former winner and Major champion in Martin Kaymer.
They will also be joined by reigning Race to Dubai champion and world number 13 Tommy Fleetwood, local favourites Stephan Jäger, Max Kieffer and Marcel Siem, and four-time European Tour winner Bernd Wiesberger.

Golf fans can also look forward to an exciting week away from the greens and fairways at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof in June, at a tournament that has made a name for itself as an industry get-together, an opportunity to experience the world of BMW and a feel-good event.
There is plenty of room for sheer driving pleasure as visitors experience the first BMW X2 and many more BMW X models at the BMW xDrive Parcours. BMW i and BMW Hybrid models demonstrate how much pleasure electromobility can bring with free charging available at stations in the tournament location for those who are already using future-oriented, electric transport. Powerful BMW M cars and the BMW 7 series provide more highlights in the BMW exhibition.
There are also golfing activities for children and adults, as well as more than 50 exhibitors. The covered event zone is the heart of the public area, boasting a digital scoreboard and a video wall. From Thursday to Sunday, a DJ and a live act will provide atmosphere as the day draws to a close. On Saturday, the acclaimed cover band Decoy will be on stage until the World Cup group match between Germany and Sweden kicks off.
