George O’Grady, Chief Executive of The European Tour, welcomed over 80 guests to The European Tour’s annual International Media Dinner in Augusta on Tuesday night.
Hosted for the sixth successive year by Augusta Country Club, golf writers from Europe and the United States joined with television and radio broadcasters for the evening which has become a firm fixture in the build-up to the season’s first Major Championship.
Guests of honour at O’Grady’s table included European Ryder Cup Captain José Maria Olazábal who joined the gathering following his attendance at the Champions Dinner earlier in the evening; Mike McCarley, President of the Golf Channel; Vartan Kupelian, President of the Golf Writers Association of America; and Bill Elliott, Chairman of the Association of Golf Writers.
