The Challenge Series 2013 - Episode Five

Stand by for a big week on The Challenge Series.

On show in episode five all the action from two of the largest and most prestigious tournaments on our calendar – the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open presented by Neuflize OBC and the Scottish Hydro Challenge hosted by Macdonald Hotels and Resorts. Events of stature, with titles to match...

The former of these occasions, held in St Omer, marks the second dual-ranking event of the season as our young charges square up to their European Tour counterparts for a share of the super-sized 500 thousand Euro jackpot.

Away from the course we serve up some French fancies to a group of travelling Springboks; Justin Walters, Trevor Fisher Jr and Tjaart van der Walt to be precise. A long way from home – but enjoying the journey.

The spoils on offer in Scotland meanwhile are just as highly coveted – particularly for the Gallic contingent of our membership. Edouard Dubois and Francois Calmels two such men who join us on a voyage of discovery to find the final resting place of their nation’s one and only Major Championship winner, Arnaud Massey.

There’s also a chance to meet the next big thing in Belgian golf, Thomas Pieters. A highly vaunted college star, and protégé of Ryder Cup hero Nicolas Colsaerts, as he embarks on his maiden professional competition.
