The 2024 Road to Mallorca two-time winners club

The 2024 Road to Mallorca enters its final stretch with four players searching for an elusive third win of the season and with it, automatic promotion to the DP World Tour.

The following four players have an opportunity to join a select few in earning their place on golf’s Global Tour in the quickest possible way…

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (12)

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen currently occupies top spot on the Rankings, a position he’s held since his second win of the season at the Abu Dhabi Challenge in April.

The Dane’s one-stroke victory at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club came just over a month after his maiden title at the Kolkata Challenge, and with four additional top ten finishes this season, Neergaard-Petersen has made a strong case that he’s ready for the DP World Tour.

The 25-year-old’s pedigree was further demonstrated two weeks ago at the Danish Golf Championship where he finished tied for 19th, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.

John Parry

John Parry (2)

John Parry had gone over 13 years without a win since lifting the Vivendi Cup in 2010, but that drought ended quickly in 2024 as the Englishman returned to the winner’s circle at the Delhi Challenge, the fifth event of the season. He followed that victory with another by securing a dramatic play-off win at the Blot Open de Bretagne in France.

Parry currently lies second on the Road to Mallorca Rankings and looks poised to return to the DP World Tour next year, though with a pair of top ten finishes since winning his second title in June, he will have every chance of securing that return before the end of the season.

Joel Moscatel

Joel Moscatel (12)

Joel Moscatel made headlines back in November 2023 when he tied the course record with an opening round of 63 at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship – the first event of the DP World Tour’s 2024 Race to Dubai – before going on to finish in a share of seventh place.

That was a sign of things to come for the Spaniard, who sealed a fairytale victory on home soil at the Challenge de España in May, and followed it up a month later with a play-off victory at the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge.

The 25-year-old is now all but guaranteed promotion to the DP World Tour for next season.

Joakim Lagergren

Joakim Lagergren (7)

Joakim Lagergren became the latest two-time winner on the 2024 Road to Mallorca with his recent triumph on home soil at the Indoor Golf Group Challenge.

That win capped off a memorable month for the Swede which began with a second-place finish at the Black Desert NI Open presented by Tom McKibbin, where he tied the course record with a nine under 61 in the third round.

He would go one better the following week at the Irish Challenge, claiming a first Challenge Tour win in almost ten years to cap off a memorable fortnight on the island of Ireland.

Lagergren, who has made 262 DP World Tour starts since 2010 and won his first title at the 2018 Rocco Forte Sicilian Open, will be eager to secure a third win of the year to ensure his return to that stage as quickly as possible.
