Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño upstaged his guests in the Madrid Masters by winning the morning Pro-Am at Real Sociedad Hípica Española Club de Campo.
The Spaniard’s company GFC Golf & Business promotes the tournament and while welcoming his fellow European Tour stars to his event, his team of Fernando Ramirez de Haro, Luis Javier Trenor and Enrique Fernandez Paredes combined for a medal score of 58, winning the morning Pro-Am on countback to deny the teams of Alejandro Canizares and and Ricardo Gonzalez.
The afternoon Pro-Am was won by Paul McGinley’s team of Luis Martín Cubillo, Luis Chillida Belzunce and Julián Salcebo Gomez after they too combined for a score of 58.
