World Number Three Martin Kaymer was in Sweden on Monday to take on Henrik Stenson in a fun match to raise money for charity.
The challenge took place the day after The Princess by Schüco, the Challenge Tour event created by Stenson, who named it after his daughter, Lisa, and won this year by Portugal’s Ricardo Santos.
Kaymer is part of the same management company as Stenson – Sportyard – and he was only too happy to help his friend raise funds for two charities - the FIFH in Sweden and Kids Swing International, based in Berlin, Germany.
The FIFH is a disabled sports association and has a sports centre specifically for disabled people in Malmö, close to where The Princess by Schüco was held at the PGA of Sweden National. The FIFH are one of the organisers of the Handi Golf Tour.
Kids Swing International helps children and young people with disabilities try out golf.
Stenson earned the bragging rights from the match, shooting a four under par 68 in the rain to beat Kaymer.
