Staysure PGA Seniors Championship to partner Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

The Royal Marsden will join forces with the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship at London Golf Club next week, raising funds for the world-renown Hospital’s Cancer Charity.

Admission to the course will be free of charge, but all parking charges will be donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.

This ensures that nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is continually looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

The Cancer Charity will be maintaining a close association with the European Tour. Earlier this season, they received a donation of £10,000 thanks to digital currency firm LIFElabs.io – the sponsor of this year’s GolfSixes Birdies for Good hole at Centurian Club.

The Staysure PGA Seniors Championship returns to the Staysure Tour schedule after a three-year absence, with past Ryder Cup captains Colin Montgomerie and Paul McGinley and two-time Senior Major winner, Paul Broadhurst, spearheading a top class field.

As well as receiving all funds from the daily parking charges - £10 per car – the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity will also be allocated a Charity Hole in Wednesday’s Pro-Am event and will have space on site to sell branded merchandise and participate in a charity raffle raise money.

David MacLaren, Head of the Staysure Tour, commented: “We are delighted to partner with the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship at London Golf Club. The work of the Charity is truly inspiring through their never-ending search to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. We are honoured to play a small part in that search by raising funds during the week of the tournament.”
