South African Bertus Smit came out on top in the Pro-Am prior to the Matrix Jersey Classic at La Moye Golf Club.
Smit, who was tied runner up in the European Senior Tour event two years ago, finished ahead of Bill Longmuir, who is hoping to continue the form he showed in winning the Handa Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum.
