July Shot of the Month

We have chosen three shots for you to pick from and one My European Tour fan who chooses the most popular shot will claim the GPS GolfBuddy World, which has a 40,000 course capacity and can measure distances to and from any point on a hole.

The range-finding device is a must-have for the modern golfer and you can find out more about ithere:

This month’s shots range from the sublime to the crucial as Darren Clarke’s decisive eagle putt at the seventh on the way to his first Major victory at The Open Championship features, alongside a cracking long iron shot from Alex Noren during his record-breaking third round at the Nordea Masters and Rory McIlroy’s audacious sand wedge from the rough in the first round of the Irish Open presented by Discover Ireland.

Shot A comes from Darren Clarke, as he rolled in a crucial 18 foot putt for eagle at the seventh hole during his final round at Royal St George's. Phil Mickelson was making a charge and moments earlier eagled the same hole to draw level with the Northern Irishman but Clarke responded magnificently with this eagle of his own to move two clear, restoring a lead he would never relinquish as he claimed a first Major title in the most cool and composed fashion to become The 2011 Open Champion.

Shot B is Alex Noren’s incredible second shot on the 592 yard par five ninth, as his five iron approach rolled to within a few feet of the hole for an easy eagle putt on his way to a course-record breaking 63 at the Nordea Masters in Bro Hof Slott GC, Stockholm. It came in the middle of a round that put him a staggering 11 strokes clear after 54 holes and effectively out of reach.

Shot C is a stroke of wonder as Rory McIlroy, at the par four 14th on Day One of the Irish Open presented by Discover Ireland at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club, shaped a sand wedge from the rough, 129 yards out, that hooked 50 yards around a tree before finishing 12 feet from the pin.
