Taking place from November 2-5, 2016, at Almouj Golf in Muscat, the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final is the culmination of the European Challenge Tour’s “Road to Oman” 2016, which includes 27 tournaments across 21 different countries.

Shangri-La will provide catering for the event’s VIP pavilion, which is located on the course’s 18thhole overlooking the Arabian Sea, meaning invited dignitaries and distinguished guests can enjoy Challenge Tour golf action while experiencing dining and hospitality of the highest quality.

“NBO is proud to be playing a key role in Oman’s emergence as a major destination for sports tourism,” said Andre Loots, NBO’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of the NBO Golf Classic Committee.

“With the conclusion of the Challenge Tour in Muscat now just months away, NBO is delighted that Shangri-La has reaffirmed its commitment to one of golf’s premier global events.

“Thanks to the backing of partners like the Shangri-La, the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final is able to deliver a visitor experience that is on par with anything else in the world of golf.”

Mark Kirk, Area Manager and Hotel General Manager at Shangri-La, added: “The Shangri-La team is delighted to confirm its support for the Golf Classic Grand Final for the fourth successive year. The event goes from strength-to-strength each year and we look forward to being part of another great spectacle of golf in Muscat this November.”

Golfers at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final will compete for a share of a €400,000 prize fund, with the top 15 players in the final Road to Oman Rankings earning playing cards for next season’s European Tour International Schedule.

After 16 events, England’s Jordan Smith currently leads the Road to Oman, followed by France’s Romain Langasque and New Zealand’s Ryan Fox.
