Sensational 66 sees Paratore share lead

Renato Paratore produced the lowest round of the week so far to join Grégory Havret at the top of the leaderboard on day three of the Trophée Hassan II.

The Italian began the day seven shots behind halfway leader Havret on one over par after posting scores of 73 and 74 on Thursday and Friday respectively.

But the 20 year old carded eight birdies and a single bogey in a stunning 66 on Saturday to grab a share of the lead before the Frenchman had even got his third round under way.

Paratore started brightly, notching a birdie at the first to get back to level par before making gains at each of the par fives on the front nine - the fifth and the eighth.

He then began the back nine with back-to-back birdies to get to four under and sit just two strokes behind Havret.

Paratore dropped his first shot of the day at the 13th but bounced back in style, firing birdies at the 14th and 15th to move into a tie for second place.

And he finished by rolling in his four-foot birdie putt at the par-five last to get to six under and join Havret at the summit.

The final group will get under way at 14.20pm local time. Follow our live bloghere.
