Senior Open tickets - the perfect festive gift

The Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex returns to Sunningdale Golf Club in 2015, and golf fans can ensure they can watch some of the legends of the game up close and personal by taking advantage of a festive ticketing offer.

Among the players expected to be part of the field are former Ryder Cup teammates Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie, who shared the Senior Major Championships between them in 2014, with Langer capturing his second Senior Open Championship at Royal Porthcawl in Wales, and Montgomerie winning the US Senior PGA Championship and US Senior Open.

With Christmas just around the corner, now is the perfect time to purchase a discounted advance ticket to see some of golf’s most iconic names at one of Britain’s most revered courses, from July 23-26, 2015.

Substantial advance discounts are available viawww.senioropengolf.com, with season tickets bought before December 31 priced at just £60 – a 25 per cent saving on the gate price of £80.

One day tickets purchased before December 31 cost £20, a saving of £10 on the gate price, while Wednesday practice day tickets are also available at the reduced price of £10, a saving of £5 on the gate price. Under16s are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult and parking is also free.

Andy Stubbs, Managing Director of the European Senior Tour, said: “The Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex has become one of the most celebrated fixtures on the golfing calendar and the legendary names in the field always attract large galleries.

“Sunningdale was a magnificent venue in 2009 and all of the players are looking forward to returning there next year. The battle between Colin and Bernhard on both sides of the Atlantic was a compelling one this year, and we look forward to them resuming it in 2015.”

American Loren Roberts defeated compatriot Fred Funk and Ireland’s Mark McNulty in a play-off when the Senior Open Championship last visited Sunningdale.

It will now be the setting for the 29th edition of The Senior Open Championship next year, following Wales’ hugely successful first staging, which attracted 43,503 spectators to Royal Porthcawl.

Tickets can be bought online viawww.senioropengolf.comor by calling +44 (0)800 0232557, with details of hospitality packages also available.
