Schwartzel helps Putts4Charity

The sun shone and the putts continued to go find the hole during the second day’s play of the BMW PGA Championship.

The great news is that every one putt sunk, whether on the course or at the Putts4Charity greens in the sponsors village, generated a further donation for SOS Children’s Villages from the Genworth Foundation, the charitable arm of Genworth Financial.

European Tour champion Charl Schwartzel of South Africa, representing The Tour Players Foundation, added to the fundraising total with his own £1,000 one putt. He said: “After the way I putted on the course today this one putt feels like the first of the day! It’s great to be able to support Putts4Charity, and I’m glad that my one putt can make such a difference.”
