Justin Rose claimed his first win of 2015 with a one shot victory in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The former US Open Champion carded a closing six under par 66 at TPC Louisiana to finish 22 under par for the week – one ahead of America’s Cameron Tringale.
One off the lead overnight, Rose’s first job was to complete a third round 65 after weather disrupted Saturday’s action.
That put the Englishman level with Jason Day at the top of the leaderboard, and Rose tapped in for birdie on the fourth before holing from ten feet on the seventh and 12 feet on the eighth to turn in 33.
In a flawless final round, the Ryder Cup star tapped in for a gain on the 14th and then birdied the last two holes, from ten feet and 14 feet, to set the clubhouse target at 22 under.
Tringale also birdied the last, but it was only enough for second, with Boo Weekly third on 20 and Day in the pack a shot further back.
