Recap: Day Three at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final

Moving Day at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final lived up to its billing. Here's how it went down.

Bernd Ritthammer

Hammer Time

Bernd Ritthammer held a one-shot lead at the halfway stage, bidding for a third Challenge Tour win of the season.

Long live the King

The earliest and most notable mover in the third round was Gary King, delivering right when it mattered most. The Englishman came into the week in 25th spot, with only the top 16 graduating next year, and needs a top two finish to be certain to gain enough points to graduate.

He went off like a rocket today, making six straight birdies from the second to soar into contention before three more took him to a share of the course record 63 and into a tie for fourth on 14 under par - well in the hunt.

Guerrier going hot

Julien Guerrier

In an identical position to King is Julien Guerrier, who duly delivered a 64 to also move to 14 under par and keep his slim chances of European Tour golf alive.

Fox on fire

When Ryan Fox goes low - as he memorably did in the final round in Northern Ireland - he goes very low, and today was another day of birdies for the New Zealander. His 64 gave him a spot in the final group tomorrow as he is 15 under par.

Bernd still the man to catch

Bernd Ritthammer

But the day belonged to Ritthammer once again, the German playing flawless golf to extend his lead to two-shots on 18 under par, ahead of Matthieu Pavon.
