Quartet tied at the top

Third round leader Robert Coles was joined out in front by home favourite SSP Chowrasia, Dane Mark F Haastrup and Spain's Pablo Larrazábal as the final round of the Avantha Masters began.

Coles had returned early to the DLF Golf and Country Club to finish his third round - there had been a total of five hours play lost to fog the first three days - and birdied the par five last to move one ahead of overnight leader Larrazábal on 12 under.

And the 38 year old Englishman remained on that mark with pars at his first three holes of the final round.

Chowrasia birdied the first and fourth to remain in contention for a second European Tour category - the first also came on Indian soil - while Larrazábal matched his gain at the fourth for a share of the lead.

Haastrup took the 117th and last card on last year's Race to Dubai but was putting in a serious challenge for a two-year exemption and €300,000 payday with an opening birdie.

Just one behind were Indian golf legend Jeev Milkha Singh and his compatriot and namesake Sujjan Singh, with US Open Championship runner-up Grégory Havret lurking on ten under.
