Putts4Charity gets a helping hand from the ETWA

The European Tour Wives Association joined forces with their professionals to make a difference as the part of the Genworth Financial Putts4Charity Initiative in Sweden this week.

A number of European Tour Professionals and their Partners came to the Putts4Charity Stand within the Sponsor's Village at Bro Hof Slott, the venue of the Nordea Scandinavian Masters, to take part in a "Putts4Charity Challenge".

Robert Karlsson and his Wife Ebba competed on Thursday, Johan Edfors and Peter Hanson along with their respective partners Cecilia and Sanna came down on Friday, and on Saturday Niclas Fasth and his Wife Marie attended.  All of the couples had a friendly but competitive "One Putt Challenge" with everyone successfully holing a putt worth 10,000 Swedish Kronor to the chosen charity of Putts4Charity, SOS Children's Villages.

Martin Ring, Genworth’s Brand and Events Leader, said: “Putts4Charity is becoming a real family affair with the Putts4Charity Challenges, having the partners take part this week has been fantastic - everyone seems to have great fun and they have all putted so well!”

The pros and partners in total added 80,000 Kronor to the running total of Putts4Charity at Bro Hof Slott, which also donates 20 Kr per "Pro One Putt" on the course during the tournament and 10 Kr per public one putt at their putting stand in the sponsor's village.

Putts4Charity is partnered by the Tour Players Foundation, a charity initiated by The European Tour Wives Association in 2005 as GolfAid, which was then established by The European Tour in 2006 and re-branded to The Tour Players’ Foundation in 2009.

Putts4Charity will continue it journey on The European Tour when it visits Killarney next week during the 3 Irish Open.
