Marcel Schneider secured two European Challenge Tour victories in 11 starts to finish 11th on the Road to Mallorca Rankings and secure his 2022 DP World Tour card.
The German finished second on the 2020 Road to Mallorca Rankings and therefore earned selected starts on the top tier in 2021 where he took advantage in recording two top ten finishes at the Gran Canaria Lopesan Open and Porsche European Open.
Schneider chose to focus on the Challenge Tour towards the latter stages of the season in a bid to earn DP World Tour playing privileges for the 2022 season, and the German’s decision paid off following triumphs at the Kaskáda Golf Challenge – where his victory earned him a spot in The 149th Open – and the Open de Portugal at Royal Óbidos, in addition to a second place finish at the Hopps Open de Provence and two further top tens.
The three-time Challenge Tour winner will be looking to make his mark on the DP World Tour next season…
