Morgan said: “I love to get out on the golf course when I’m not working and golf days like this are brilliant fun, as well as an excellent fundraiser for charity.

“It’s going to be pretty daunting teeing off in front of the thousands of fans expected to be out watching, and I hope my game is up to scratch that day.

“I’m sure Dan and I will have a laugh and a joke about our respective morning television programmes and whose is better.

Numerous sporting legends have already confirmed their participation, including cricketers Sir Ian Botham, Allan Lamb and Brian Lara, and former footballers Paul Scholes, Robbie Savage and Ruud Gullit.

Jamie Birkmyre, Championship Director of the BMW PGA Championship, said: “The BMW PGA Celebrity Pro-Am has become a real highlight and an incredibly popular curtain-raiser for the tournament itself. It promises to be another fantastic day with a long list of A-list celebrities confirmed to take on the challenge of Wentworth’s stunning West Course.

“The players get a great reception from the huge crowds who come to watch, it’s a wonderful show – a fantastic blend of world-class golf and entertainment in a relaxed and fun environment.”

The BMW Championship Pro-Am traditionally raises an impressive amount for the Official Charity, which this year is Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.

Tickets for the Celebrity Pro-Am are on sale nowHEREor via the hotline 01344 840550 for the discounted price of £13 (gate price £15).
