Pepperell in three-way tie for the lead in Pattaya

Eddie Pepperell held a share of the lead during the final round of the King’s Cup presented by PTT Group.

The Englishman, who entered the day one shot behind overnight leader Chan Shih-chang, carded an eagle, a birdie and a solitary bogey on his front nine to sit alongside Chan and Danthai Boonma on ten under par.

Chan looked to be cruising on Sunday after notching birdies at the first, fourth and fifth holes to move to 12 under, but bogeys on the seventh and tricky ninth saw him relinquish the outright lead.

Pepperell picked up his first shot of the day at the fourth to stay in touch with Chan before rolling in from four feet for an eagle at the sixth to close the gap to one stroke.

Pepperell also dropped a shot at the seventh but made a fantastic par save at the eighth to remain at ten under.

Home favourite Boonma began his fourth round six shots adrift of Chan but soon closed the gap thanks to birdies at the second, third and eighth, and an eagle at the long sixth, with a bogey at the fifth the only blemish on his card.

Boonma then rattled off three straight birdies from the 11th to get to ten under and found himself tied at the top when Chan dropped a shot at the ninth.
