Andrea Pavan is three shots clear of fellow Italian Marco Crespi with six holes left to play in the final round of the Bad Griesbach Challenge Tour by Hartl Resort.
Birdie at the first was the ideal start for Pavan, and would have been sure to settle any nerves, and he picked up a further stroke at the third before his only dropped shot so far at the fourth.
Further red figures followed at six, 11 and 12 to see the Italian pull further clear, having started the day a shot in front of playing partner Victor Riu, who is currently five behind at 14 under par having led after the opening two rounds.
Daan Huizing is also in contention at 15 under in third place on his own, while Jeppe Huldahl, and Knut Borsheim are alongside Riu in a tie for fourth, and probably have too much to do with just a few holes remaining.
