Pairings out for US PGA Championship

Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizen and Phil Mickelson, the three Major Champions of 2010, will form a traditional grouping for next week’s US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.

The reigning Masters, US Open and Open Champions will tee off at 1.35pm local time in Wisconsin in the fourth and final Major Championship of the year.

Defending Champion Y.E. Yang will tee off in the company of Tiger Woods, who he beat down the stretch last year to become Asia’s first winner of a Major, and Vijay Singh, winner of the US PGA last time it was held at Whistling Straits. Their US PGA Championship will get underway at 8.20am local time.

Lee Westwood, who withdrew from the tournament with a calf injury after the second round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, will be replaced by Kevin Sutherland.

Sutherland will tee-off with Ernie Els and Dustin Johnson.

European Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie will play alongside Koumei Oda and Matt Kuchar, while Corey Pavin, his United States counterpart, will go round with Ian Poulter and Camilo Villegas.

Padraig Harrington, the 2008 champion, lines up alongside Davis Love III and John Daly.
