On the tee: BMW SA Open

Ahead of the BMW SA Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni, we take a look at the featured tee times  at Glendower Golf Club for the opening rounds of 2018.

Two of South Africa's exciting young talentsBrandon StoneandDylan Frittellitee off together early on Thursday morning at 07:00. Frittelli will be looking to build on a promising start to the season after his win in Mauritius last month. The pair will be joined in game 17 by the 2015 winner of this event, England'sAndy Sullivan.

Following behind at 07:10 is the "Major champions group" of tournament hostErnie Els, his fellow South AfricanTrevor Immelman, andMike Weir of Canada,who have a combined total of six Major wins.

The third of the morning feature groups also includes two South Africans inHayden Porteousand 2005 South Africa Open winnerRetief Goosen. The pair will begin their first rounds at 07:20 alongside Denmark'sSoren Kjeldsen.

Reigning championGraeme Stormof England gets his title defence under way in the afternoon alongside home favourites Darren Fichardtand amateur Christo Lamprechtat 12:00.

A strong home support will no doubt follow the next group at 12:10, as the top ranked South Africans in the field -Branden Grace(30) andCharl Schwartzel (34) - tee off alongside Englishman Chris Wood, who is making his first start of the 2018 season.
