On the Tee: at the Nordea Masters

With a total of 32 European Tour wins and three Race to Dubai titles between them, home favourite Henrik Stenson and three-time winner Lee Westwood have been drawn together for the first two rounds of the Nordea Masters.

Westwood boasts a phenomenal record in his eight appearances at this event, with the Englishman having also registered one runner-up spot and a further three top 20 finishes in addition to his three victories.

The highly-decorated pair are sure to bring out the crowds at Bro Hof Slott GC in Stockholm, with another talented home player in the form of Rikard Karlberg the final man in that exciting looking 07:50 group from the tenth tee.

Defending champion Alex Noren, who triumphed by four shots at PGA National in Malmo last year, has been drawn alongside Danish legend Thomas Bjørn and big-hitting Belgian Thomas Pieters in an intriguing three-ball.

Noren will receive plenty of home support, while Bjørn always attracts plenty of backing in this part of the world, with the 45 year old hailing from nearby Denmark and owning a holiday home in Sweden.

Elsewhere, teeing it up in the group behind Stenson are his compatriot Robert Karlsson, Ross Fisher and Scott Hend.

Karlsson has eight top tens to his name in his home event, while Fisher will be well recuperated after a rare missed cut at Wentworth last week – with the Englishman having made it to the weekend in his previous 12 European Tour events.
