On the tee: Aegean Airlines Challenge Tour by Hartl Resort draw revealed

Runaway Rankings leader Jordi Garcia Pinto will get his week under way from the tenth tee at 0820 on the first day, playing alongside last week’s Scottish Hydro Challenge hosted by Macdonald Hotels and Resorts winner Andrew Johnston, and Germany’s Nicolas Meitinger.

On the other side of the draw is recent maiden winner William Harrold, fresh from his play-off victory in the Belgian Challenge Open a fortnight ago. He will tee it up alongside Sweden’s Joel Sjöholm and Italy’s Federico Colombo, with all three set to go off the first at 0810 in the opening round.

Daniel Gaunt will also begin his quest for a first title of the season on Thursday morning after some consistent play so far in 2014. He is currently 14th on the Rankings, and will have Englishman Gary Lockerbie and Italy’s Niccolo Quintarelli for company from 0820 over the first 36 holes.

Moritz Lampert is the only multiple winner of the season so far, having claimed titles at both the Kärnten Golf Open presented by Mazda and the Fred Olsen Challenge de España. He will headline the afternoon side of the draw in the opening round, teeing off the first at 1320 alongside Scotland’s Duncan Stewart and Sweden’s Björn Åkesson, who posted a tie for sixth last week.

Also off in the afternoon is Australia’s Terry Pilkadaris, who has shown some fine form of late. The Melbourne man finished three strokes adrift of the victorious Johnstone last week, and he will get going from the first on day one at 1350, alongside Robin Kind and Ben Parker.
